Is Real Estate Investing Going Virtual? Can Internet really help you in your real estate investing career?

Yes! Yes! and Yes! Real Estate investing is becoming more and more virtual. The internet is not just for browsing, playing games, meeting friends on facebook, myspace and watching funny videos on youtube.

Believe it or not, internet is by far, one of the most powerful tools you can use in your real estate investing. Don't believe me? Just read this lens and you'll see what I am talking about here.

How You can start using the Internet for Your Real Estate Investing Business.

Here's a little fact for to start those juice flowing.

A recent survey conducted by National Associates of Realtors has found that 80% of buyers have used the internet to buy their home. That's 8 out of 10 people buying their house using the internet.

I hope you see the potential here for your real estate investing business. Not only can you find retail buyers for your property, but you can find motivated sellers, comparable sales in your area, distressed properties, and REO properties that you can steal before other investors in your area.

But that's just the icing on the cake. Internet can give you the power to automate your real estate investing business. How do you ask? Let me give you a short example...

Internet is a lead capture goldmine. You can set up a website to capture motivated sellers that search for certain terms in the search engine. Let's say they search for "sell my house in Las Vegas."

By optimizing your site for search engines, your site can be one of the top searches to comes up in Google. People will go to your site from there. Once they are at your site, they can be presented with an "ethical bribe."

That "ethical bribe" can be a free report that talks about how they can sell their house at fair price, avoid foreclosure and so on. In return, they will give you their name and email address. Once they do that, your email service will automatically email them the report, you get their contact info and begin helping them with their problem.

You can set up autoresponder messages that can go out to their email at any interval, few hours after they sign up, one day later, one week later or whatever you choose.

Obviously, there is more to it but you can see the power the internet will give you in your real estate investing business.

Dinkytown: 300 Financial Calculators pretty much for everything including Mortgage and Loans.
Real Estate Investing Internet Resource Guide: This 56 page free guide will give you all of the internet resources that you would need in your real estate investing business.
NameCheap: Domain Registrar to get your website name. I know that this one isn't free but it's less than $10 per year to get your domain.
Trulia: Based on your search criteria, you can see how many homes sold in the past week, what the average price was, and the heat map on the selected area.
Real Estate Investment Clubs: This link will provide you a list of real estate investment club in your area. You have probably heard it before but going to R.E.I. meetings can help you in your real estate investing in many ways.
Google Keyword Tool: In order for your site to show up in google and other search engines, you need to optimize it with the right keywords. Google Keyword Tool will help you do just that.
Elance.com: Great website to find quality professionals to outsource your internet tasks such as website design, writing articles, coding, and more.
Craigslist: Craigslist is great advertising website for your business. You can post your ads for free in your local market. Beats spending money on newspapers, doesn't it?
Bank of American Comparable Sales Tool: Bank of American Comparable Sales Tool. Just click on the "Home Value Search Link."
